1. Our commitment
Nouvèl Ayiti Corporation is committed to making the Services usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is a design requirement, not an afterthought.
2. Conformance standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We also consider Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act as guidance for our public-facing web presence.
3. Measures we take
- Semantic HTML, ARIA where appropriate, and keyboard-operable interactive elements;
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA in primary text and interactive states;
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements;
- Reduced-motion support that respects the operating-system preference;
- Text alternatives for meaningful images;
- Multilingual interface in Ayisyen, English, and Français.
4. Known limitations
Some third-party content (such as embedded maps, payment elements, and crowd-sourced imagery) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We work with these providers to improve accessibility and provide alternatives where possible.
5. Alternative formats and assistance
If you cannot access any part of the Services, or if you need information in an alternative format, contact alo@ayiti.org with a description of what you need. We will do our best to respond within five (5) business days.
6. Feedback and complaints
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the Services. If you encounter a barrier, please email alo@ayiti.org with the page, your device and assistive technology, and a description of what happened. We treat accessibility issues as priority bug reports.
